Abstract: In the typological framework of world literature, anti-fascist literature remains an underexplored field. Existing studies on this topic either lack a cross-contextual perspective or overlook the anti-fascist experiences of minor belligerents. This essay draws on world literature theories to reveal the multifaceted “worldliness” of anti-fascist literature on the levels of dissemination, canonization, and value construction. More importantly, it takes India as a key example to examine the literary practices that indirectly engage with global anti-fascist struggles from the “margins” of World War II. Exemplifying a mode of writing driven by “world-mindedness,” K. A. Abbas’s novel Tomorrow Is Ours! demonstrates how literature guides readers to inhabit, interpret, and create the world, and thereby engages them in a yet-to-come global war devoid of direct embodied experience. By redefining world literature as local literature generated in world-mindedness, this essay offers a new perspective for understanding the worldliness of national and regional literatures, one that moves beyond the traditional parameters of translingual transmission and transnational reception.

摘要: 在世界文学现有类型体系中,反法西斯文学是一个尚未被充分开掘的主题。既有研究抑或缺少跨语境视野下的整体考察,抑或忽视非主要参战国的反法西斯经验。本文在世界文学理论观照下揭示反法西斯文学在传播、经典化、价值观构建等层面的多重世界性,并着重以印度为例,探讨那些从二战“边缘”地带以间接方式书写世界反法西斯斗争的文学实践。阿巴斯的小说《明天属于我们!》示范了一种由“世界意识”驱动的创作模式,演绎了文学如何通过引导读者处身、解读和创造世界,使之参与一场尚未到来且缺少具身经验的世界大战。将世界文学重新诠释为在世界意识中生成的本地文学,有助于超越跨语际传播、跨国界接受等维度,为理解国别/区域文学的世界性提供新视野。
