Abstract: The Beijing Olympic Games are widely regarded as a symbol of China’s rise as a global power. Following Beijing’s successful bid in 2001, the event quickly became a focal point for writers worldwide. The distinctive connection between the Olympics and global literature, particularly in depictions of the Olympic marathon and other sporting competitions in contemporary works, has remained insufficiently explored. This paper begins by discussing the impact of the Olympics Games. Through an archaeological and genealogical analysis of Olympic narratives in global literary works, this study not only deepens our understanding of the significance of “2008” eiqhteen years later, but also offers new interpretive angles on canonical works by writers such as Peter Hessler, Michael Meyer, and Liu Cixin.

摘要： 2008年北京奥运会常常被解读为“大国崛起”的标志。2001年申奥成功后,北京奥运会很快成为世界各国作家的书写对象。奥运会与世界文学之间的独特关系,尤其是当代文学中的奥运书写与体育竞技,鲜少有研究者涉及。本文从影响深远的北京奥运会出发,将“奥运”视为一个介入世界文学的切入口与承载时代情感结构的“载体”,对世界文学中的奥运叙事进行知识考古学、谱系学意义上的爬梳。这不仅有助于在18年后“重返2008”,亦为理解彼得·海斯勒、迈克尔·麦尔、刘慈欣等作家的经典作品提供新的角度。
