Abstract: Quintus Smyrnaeus’ Posthomerica, composed around the 3rd century CE, stands out as an exceptional work among many continuations of Homer’s epics from that period. Building upon the Homeric narrative, it fills the gap between Homer’s Iliad and Odyssey by recounting the events from Hector’s funeral to the Greek army’s devastating capture of Ilion and their initial departure homeward. Comparative analysis reveals that this work profoundly demonstrates the Byzantine literary tradition’s characteristic of both inheriting and developing Ancient Greek culture during its formative period. The epic reflects the historical and cultural development trends during the transition from the Roman Empire to the medieval Byzantine Empire, while also presenting a vivid portrayal of how local knowledge transformed into global knowledge through its depiction of customs and traditions.

摘要： 三世纪前后昆图斯创作的《特洛伊史诗》是当时众多续写荷马史诗作品中的佼佼者。它在荷马史诗故事的基础上,补写了从赫克托耳葬礼到希腊联军血洗伊利昂城后开始返乡这期间发生的故事。通过比较可以看出,它深刻地揭示了拜占庭文学初起时期对古希腊文化既继承又发展的特征,多方面表现了这一地区从罗马帝国向中世纪拜占庭帝国转型时期的历史文化发展趋势,也显示了地方性知识向世界性知识转换的风俗图景。
