Abstract: The climate and ecological crisis in the Anthropocene have not only a technical, economic, and political dimension but also a cultural dimension. Starting with the concept of “minor Anthropocene,” this article analyzes how Taoist thought surpasses anthropocentrism and achieves a non-centric ecological philosophy. Pointing out that the Anthropocene literature represented by climate fiction embodies many core concepts of Taoist ecological thought, this article realizes that the ecological holism and non-centrism advocated by Taoism can help address the cultural crisis underlying the climate and ecological crisis.
