Abstract: It is pity that we did not notice that Prof. Xie Tianzhen had put forward a suggestion of rewriting the history of Chinese translation in the end of 1980's. The western theory of translation studies of Cultural Studies in 1970s gave Prof. Xie Tianzhen a lot of inspiration when he was in University of Albert Canada in 1991. After that, he introduced western theories of translation to China, and applied them in the studies of Chinese literary translation. The author echoes Prof. Xie Tianzhen's studies of Chinese translation with studies of discourse practice of translation in New Period (1977- ) and studies of Hong Kong translation.

摘要： 早在20世纪80年代末,谢天振就提出重写翻译史的说法,可惜外文和中文两界都未曾注意。1991年在加拿大接触到1970年代以来的文化学派的翻译理论,谢天振如虎添翼。此后谢天振重视介绍西方翻译理论,并致力于翻译史研究。无论在翻译史研究方法和写作模式上,还是在具体观点及史料积累上,谢天振都有诸多创新和贡献。笔者追随谢天振的研究,不过在理论入径上略有不同,在翻译的接受影响研究以及港台翻译研究上,笔者都响应了谢天振的思路,并得到了他的支持。
