Abstract: Since the collapse of the Soviet Union, the tradition of emphasizing empirical collation or typological analysis in comparative literature studies has continued in contemporary Russia. The institutional framework of the comparative literature discipline within the Academy of Sciences system has been strengthened and expanded. Comparative literature teaching has extensively entered Russian universities, giving rise to a new stronghold of comparative literature scholars. Dialogue and exchanges between Russian comparative literature circles and their foreign counterparts, particularly with French and German scholars, have been carried out through multiple paths and have progressed in depth. The exploration of Russia's native comparative literature resources is being enhanced, delving into epistemological and methodological levels. The development and renewal of the academic and institutional mechanisms of the comparative literature discipline indicate that comparative literature in Russia today has indeed been revived.
