Abstract: From its emergence in Germany in the 1830s to the end of the 20th century, the writing of history of world literature was always framed within the field of vision of Occidentalism. In the 21st century, the accelerating rate of globalization and dramatic remapping for the literary landscape have led to many drastic paradigmatic changes in this field in the international academia. A study of three new histories of world literature indicates that, within the background of the serious challenges to the West-centrism, literary classics have not been featuring prominently in the texts as basic subjects anymore and the national mindset has also been abandoned. Instead, Trans-cultural comparisons and contrasts between literary concepts and categories, regional integration and trans-regional exchanges of literature, and multi-systems and multi-centers have become the fresh traits of the paradigm of trans-cultural writing on the history of world literature.
