Abstract: The reception of Taoism in contemporary French writers dated back to 20th century. In view of the translation and studies about Zhuangzi, Taoism and text in Zhuangzi has attracted French writers' wide attention. In the first years, they paid more attention to Zhuangzi's philosophic thinking, such as Henri Michaux, Paul Claudel and Philippe Sollers. Whereas, Raymond Queneau focused on the text of Zhuangzi, “Zhuangzhou Dreaming a Butterfly” in particular, or to be specific, the constitution of the nested narrative structure and the narrative philosophy. The source of this kind of new vision in regard to “Zhuangzhou Dreaming a Butterfly” consists in the following “junctions” between Zhuangzi's Taoism and phenomenology: natural ego or authentic self, relationship between the natural ego and the world, transformation esprit in vision, original quest and demands of liberty. From different texts, philosophy to heterogeneous cultures, the studies of the intertextuality under such a broad field of vision have showed the interesting phenomenon of “Dream-Zhuang grafting westward,” the similar philosophic thinking in heterogeneous cultures. That is how the new visions and dialogue happened.
