摘要： 新中国成立以来,中国少数民族文学的对外译介主要是在国家赞助的形式下进行,这一国家对外译介实践是属于国家“外推”式文学翻译行为,文本生产以及传播与接受均在原语和译语两种不同文化系统中进行和完成。本文将整体考察国家机构推出的中国少数民族文学英译本在英语世界的传播与接受情况,分析其译介效果,旨在揭示中国少数民族文学英译本在传播与接受过程中存在的问题。这将有助于我们认识国家机构译介行为模式及其改进空间,从而对当前中国文学“走出去”国家战略背景下探讨如何更好地推动中国少数民族文学和文化“走出去”,提供良好的理论基础与实践借鉴。

Abstract: Since the founding of the PRC, the translation of Chinese ethic minority literature has mainly been carried out under the patronage of Chinese government, which is essentially a kind of institutional “exporting” literary translation practice. Its text production, distribution and reception take place in two different cultural systems: the original and the target cultural systems. This article will examine the distribution and reception of English translations of Chinese ethnic minority literature in the Anglophone world, and analyze their translation effects, aiming to reveal the existing problems. This will help us understand the translation activities by Chinese government-affiliated institution, China Foreign Languages Publishing Administration (CFLPA). It is hoped that this research will shed light on translating Chinese ethnic minority literature into foreign languages thereon.
