Abstract: The story of Magu is a mythological narrative shared by China and South Korea. From the beginning, Chinese Magu has presented the image of a young and beautiful goddess of longevity, while Korean Magu presents the images of the sea goddess who regulates maritime affairs, the fairy who visits the world, and the powerful grandmother who creates the world. In history, the Chinese and Korean Magu mythologies have all gone through the myth's path towards religion, daily and artistic aesthetics. The Chinese mythology of Magu has developed a one-way narrative mode of “Goddess Entering the Mortal House →The Mortal Entering the Immortal House →The Immortal Concerning the Mortal World”; Korean Magu mythologies have developed a dual narrative mode of “Goddess Visiting→Goddess Giving Medicine to Save the People” and “Grandma Picking up Stones to Build a City→Grandma Helping People to Save the World, Fairy Making Medicines to Save People”, interlaced with the “Goddess + Creating Hybrid” narrative mode. In modern times, Magu mythologies in China and South Korea have continued to have different paths of dissemination. Based on the perspective of mutual interpretation of texts and pictures, it is found that although the naming methods, deduction processes and communication paths of Magu myths in China and South Korea are different, they obviously have a certain kinship, which reflects their national cultural psychology.
