平行研究在中国——兼论比较文学中国学派的特征

摘要/Abstract

摘要： 平行研究这一范式在比较文学学科中取得合法性的地位归功于美国学派,它也是美国学派的标签。20世纪80年代复兴的中国比较文学深受美国学派的影响,沿袭美国学派对比较文学的界定,甚至很多人误将平行研究等同于美国学派的研究范式。实际上,就中国比较文学研究的实践来说,平行研究作为一种研究范式并不是在美国学派形成以后才有的,而是与生俱有,在内涵上也并不局限于美国学派的研究范式,它体现了中国比较文学研究跨文化的独特性,是比较文学中国学派存在的根本依据。

Abstract: The legitimization of parallel study in the discipline of Comparative Literature owes much to American School and it also largely represents American School's study paradigm. Chinese Comparative Literature, revived in 1980s and deeply influenced by American School, accepts the definition of Comparative Literature by American School. Many Chinese scholars mistakenly trace parallel study back to American School, while the study of Comparative Literature in China, much earlier than American School, was born with parallel study. Furthermore, the parallel study of Comparative Literature in China, not restricted to the study paradigm of American School, embodies cross-cultural study, which is the unique feature of Comparative Literature in China and hence the underlying base for Chinese School of Comparative Literature.
